Michael Jordan Michael Jordan may be the greatest basketball player of all time. Michael Jordan beat Charles Barkley and Akeem Olajuwon for Rookie of the Year Honors in 1985. Air Jordan has six championship rings, including 3 straight from 1991-1993, and 3 more in 1996-1998. Michael Jordan was named the NBA Finals MVP in all of those titles. He's won them all with Scottie Pippen. Michael Jordan was a NBA first teamer ten times (1987-1993, 1996, and again in 1997 and 1998). He was the starting guard for the all-star game thirteen times (in 1985, 1987-1993, 1997-1998, and again in 2002). He started for the ninth time in 1997, as the first player EVER to receive more that 2 million votes.

In 1993, after the death of his father, he left basketball to become a rookie baseball player for the White Sox. However, his hitting did not rise to his expectations and he returned to basketball in 1995. Michael Jordan won the MVP for the fourth time in 1996, his fourth NBA Championship, and his fourth NBA Finals MVP Trophy. Jordan led his Bull's to a Sixth NBA Championship in 1998, and he added a fifth MVP Trophy in 1998. In 1996, Michael starred in the movie, Space Jam alongside Bugs Bunny, Marvin Martian and Porky Pig. The movie followed a series of McDonalds commercials. Through the years, most of his income usually came from endorsements rather than his basketball salary.

Michael retired from basketball and the Chicago Bulls for a second time on January 13, 1999. But on n September 25, 2001 Jordan returned to basketball, with a two-year contract with the Washington Wizards. Michael Jordan
